The Journey from letzNav to Apty

Table of Contents

How did Apty become the world’s fastest-growing digital adoption solution?

For years, we watched as companies invested millions in new software and then millions more in training and support to try to make it work. In most cases, the training didn’t make a difference. We knew there had to be a better way if companies were ever going to see a true ROI on their digital investments.

So, three years ago, we set out to make enterprise software easier to use.

Our first client, a major U.S. airline, needed help adopting a new software. Our challenge was to help users navigate the program and protect the company’s investment in the software. The solution was letzNav, the product that would eventually become Apty.

Our focus with letzNav was simple – help people get from point A to point B. The main selling point was onscreen guidance to show people how to navigate their software, hence the name letzNav.

We continued to refine the product and launched a public version. In a few months, we had a dozen clients, including several Fortune 500 companies.

The next year, we focused on adding new features like announcements and cross-application support, but by the end of the year, we realized we could do more.

letzNav made software easier to use. End-users loved it, and stakeholders liked the improved adoption rates, but we knew there had to be even more ways to improve the ROI on a company’s technology investment.

Digital transformation isn’t cheap. It’s one of the most expensive projects a company can take on. As more software switches to a SaaS pricing model, software costs will only continue to grow.

I knew if we can help companies improve their digital ROI, we could make our product even more valuable. So, we quickly began to work on an entirely new suite of features to help with improving not only software adoption but also productivity and cost management. In July 2019, we launched our new product and company, Apty.

Apty goes beyond navigation.

The product has three functions:

Analyze software usage

If you’re going to improve your adoption rates and how people work with your technology, you need to know how they use it. Companies often invest in more training or support resources without identifying the real issue. Apty helps you determine where users are struggling and gives you actionable insights on how to improve.

Help users

Apty lets you deploy help at the user’s exact moment of need – when they’re using the software. Traditional training methods often fail to overcome users’ top pain points because employees frequently forget most of what they learn from classroom training. Apty’s onscreen guidance is ideal for onboarding, as well as ongoing support.

Automate mundane tasks

Technology is supposed to make work easier, but often tedious and repetitive tasks consume too much of users’ time. We introduced automation to Apty to allow users to get more done in less time. Apty leverages chatbots to help people automate their routine work without even having to open your software. Apty’s easy-to-use interface allows you to add automation to your enterprise software without investing the time or money on custom development.

Since launching as Apty, we’re constantly onboarding new clients as more and more companies see the value in improving their productivity and protecting their digital ROI. We’d love to help you improve your software ROI as well.
